As the Principal's daughter of Canterlot High, most students throughout the school may think she's a bit spoiled at first, but Hazel is the complete opposite. Hazel is very considerate and she loves helping out other people if she sees that they are having trouble. She looks past their appearance and tends to look more into their personality as Hazel isn't the type of person to judge someone by the cover without meeting them first. In addition, she pays very little attention or concern to her own appearance. Her head is always up in the clouds as well. Hazel may always be a forgiving person, but it naturally depends on how the situation effects her meaning that it may take Hazel Swirl awhile to come through until they can live up to their words.

001.) Before the events of the first movie, Hazel Swirl was a student at Crystal Prep for a few months until her mother decided to transfer her to Canterlot High for a better experience.

002.) Hazel refuses to listen to any gossip that the school might have. She doesn't like the idea of people being negative about others for their own gain.

003.) Hazel Swirl does have a dairy, but normally she keeps it at home for safe keeping as it's her way of expressing lingering thoughts.

The plan for Hazel Swirl's magic that it'd be purely based off of Ice and Snow. Her power is still developing, so it hasn't grown into anything too big as of yet. For now, only little signs started showing for the progress. The first time that it kicked in when Hazel started to shiver while the weather was hot ( on occasion this still might happen ), then her hands started to get cold and currently remains that way.More will be added upon development.

In the past, Hazel didn't have the best childhood. Her mother was always so focused on her own life, barely giving any attention to her child. Therefore, she was normally left with a sitter that raised her until she was older, enough to move out and be on her own. Around that point, Hazel got a part time job to help take care of her own personal needs as she lived out on the streets, where eventually Celestia found her. Being taken under her wing since then, the first school Hazel Swirl went to was Crystal Prep. That was short lived since the experience wasn't great and this is where she eventually transferred to Canterlot High. This all takes place before the first movie, so at some point Hazel did met Sunset Shimmer before her reformed arc due to being a brand new student, so she was easily a new target.
